TennisGrandStand was incorporated in 2008.The original website, founded in 2002 by Manfred Wenas, was originally known as TeamWTA.com and Lawntennisnews.com. The site was associated with Sportnetwork.net from 2002 to 2005, before the site became an independent web news magazine covering the ATP and WTA circuits.
In November of 2011, TennisGrandstand.com acquired a new Managing Editor who had previously been a writer for the site, Romana Cvitkovic. Manfred Wenas still continues as a Consulting Editor for the site.
